Al-Yakhour Hostel is family business that is owned by two brothers. We consider this place as our home and we make sure that everyone stays here feels the same.The hostel is an amazing historical building that was built in the 18th century. We try our best to maintain it and preserve its value. Our location is very strategic as the hostel is a walking distance from all historical sites and tourist attractions in Haifa city such as Bahai's Gardens, Beach and many bars and restaurants . The bus station are all just a few steps away.

We are doing our best to maintain the family atmospheres in the hostel! As this contains a fair amount of work and effort, we would love to get some help from volunteers to work in the hostel.
The type of volunteering work at the hostel varies depending on the period of time you are staying with us.

The minimum volunteer time will be 3 weeks , 5 shifts a week which are 5-6 hours each. The volunteers duties will include working reception , cleaning  , laundry , kitchen etc. We offer all volunteers one apartment to themselves. This way we make sure they have enough privacy and enjoy a  comfortable stay. We also offer all volunteers our delicious authentic breakfast that contains Hummus , Falafel and many more traditional food options. On top of that we will have most basic cooking ingredients available at the kitchen for free use.

Volunteers who work with us for more than 4 weeks can enjoy free stays at other hostels in Jerusalem, Jericho, and other available cities. We also provide a free SIM card which includes a data plan if your volunteering period is longer than a month time.

Our goal through this initiative is to introduce the nation to tourists from abroad and provide them with a enjoyable stay at our hostel. We are looking forward for your support to help achieve that.
